In 1998, due to the increase in growth and decrease in warehouse space, Polar decided to keep their headquarters and new warehouse in the heart of Worcester by renovating an abandoned plastics factory, Crookston Performance Plastics Inc. Ralph Crowley, Jr., President and CEO, decided to remain in Worcester due to the emotional tie to the people and to the city. ``We have an incredibly valuable and loyal work force in Worcester, and we concluded these are the people who brought us to where we are today. It just did not seem fair to us to leave our employees behind."
