Polar Beverages was recognized in 1998 and 1999 with the Environmental
Conservation Certificate for "extraordinary recycling efforts" resulting in a
total of 115.228 tons of paper waste being recycled through the services of
Miller Recycling Corporation. These efforts avoided the destruction of 1958.86
trees and saved 345.684 cubic yards of valuable landfill space.

Polar Beverages shows great awareness for the environment. Many of its business
decisions consider the environmental issues at the time. An environmental
program to save energy was exercised by Polar's manufacturing plant in 1997.
Mass Electric of Worcester, Massachusetts recognized Polar for its unique
conservation efforts in manufacturinig soft drinks.
